Friday 19th February - walk **** - Felixstowe circuit – Cloudy and not as mild as hoped.

I was supposed to be seasonably mild and breezy today and I hoped to nip over to Nacton Shores again to check out the Orwell to see what it was like in a southerly, being a late afternoon tide it was probably not suitable for foiling so I needed well over 20 knots to make it worthwhile. After doing my exercises I checked Landguard weather station and the wind was under 20 knots with a cool 5 degrees so I decided to give it a miss today and instead accompany Mag to her covid jab:) So after soup for lunch we walked down to the sea front and the sea was still black by the pier with the gulls still loving what is being washed up? It was then on past the Spa and up through the gardens and back along the cliff top. Through the town to get a few pics carrying onto The Grove medical centre where Mag joins the que for her injection. As she will have to wait 15 minutes after her jab, I have time to kill so I head into the very muddy woods. It was lovely in there too, loads of squirrels with lots of snowdrops too so I had fun with the camera, being much longer than I expected and Mag was waiting for me in the cold. She had had the Oxford vaccine so she did not have to wait 15 minutes. Can’t fault the service here in Suffolk and large numbers are being done everyday and again a big thank you to all involved. Then home via Tesco to get a local paper as I had some old pics of the Pigs in Ipswich from 2016, apparently there is going to be another art trail coming:) Then home for cake and a hot drink and who knows about tomorrow and windsurfing as supposed to be 14 degrees!
